Designation: Consultant: Organisational Development
Salary Range: R27 494.16 pm (basic salary excluding benefits)
Appointment Requirements:
Matric Certificate plus a Bachelor’s Degree in Organisational Development/Management
Services/Organisational Psychology/Business Administration or any qualification in the
Organisational Development related field at NQF level 7;
4-8 years’ overall experience in the Organizational Development discipline in a professional
capacity;
Work-study and work methods skills;
Business process management and reengineering skills;
Sound knowledge in providing strategic advice and solutions on a range of Organisational
Development;
Significant experience and knowledge in facilitating workshops and forums in various levels of the
organsation;
Significant experience and knowledge in researching best practice and comparison industry
organizational development trends providing appropriate recommendations;
Demonstrated of strategy, relationship experience at operational level;
Understanding of strategy, prescribed methodologies, legislative, and regulatory frameworks
governing a municipality;
Principles of organizational development related principles; and
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Primary Function: To provide guidance and advice to City department Municipal Entities to help
improve efficiency, enhance operations, and drive profitability/productivity in an optimal manner. This
role involves examining both big-picture aspects of businesses and smaller components of their
structure and operation to identify areas for improvement and introduce and resent new strategies
with the ultimate aim of enabling the delivery of excellent sustainable services.
Key Performance Areas: Implement Organizational design and effectiveness interventions
throughout the City. Assist with strategic planning exercise for client departments and Municipal
Entities. Plan, lead and manage organizational Reviews for client departments. Keep abreast of
development and changes. Facilitate change management of within City. Implement Workforce
planning initiatives. Provide job analysis and design services, Human Resource Management. Asset
and Resources management. Governance and Risk. Monitoring and Reporting.
Leading Competencies: Good management and Leadership. Strategic and operational planning.
Policy development. Mentoring and coaching. Interpersonal. Problem solving. Good planning and
organization. Project management. People management. Networking. Financial management.
Core Competencies: Coordinating. Good verbal communication (including presentation and public
